Karen Spinella

Biography

I always wanted to do art, but until I began taking lessons with Bob Greenwood, I didn’t know I could.  I was amazed when I finished my first charcoal that was something recognizable.  I took lessons with him until he passed away.  I was at loose ends until I began with Elaine Wiggins.  I stayed with Elaine until I had the desire to learn watercolor with Helene Allen at the Artist Guild Unlimited.  As a member of the guild, I have been able to take workshops with such noted instructors as Mary Jane Cox, Elmore Morgan, Kathy Miller Stone, Sandra Burshell, and Judi Betts, to name a few.  I have enjoyed each and every medium.  My favorite medium is pastel.
