Accreditations

• I was in the first wave of teachers who were evaluated by the STAR document for LTIP/LTAP; I received a superior grade.
• This enabled me to work with MCOP (Model Career Options Program) as a curriculum developer and peer consultant.
•  I have attended and assisted in planning workshops that are too numerous to list.
• I have chaired countless committees and was the chairperson for the SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) ten-year evaluation of Morgan City High School.
• I am currently teaching English III and English III Honors; Advanced Composition/Creative Writing; and Teacher Cadet.
• I have completed assessor training to work as a mentor for new teachers.
• I am a mentor to a student teacher.
• I sponsor the senior class.
•  I am a member of Louisiana Council for Teachers of English, ASCD, and A+PEL educators’ organization.
• I was chosen 1996 MCHS Teacher of the Year, District TOTY, and competed among seven other teachers at the state level.
• I am a member of the committee that wrote the Louisiana STAR (Students Teaching and Reaching) curriculum in 2003-04 and one of the 8 pilot teachers for the program.
