Barbara Brown

Biography

Born and raised in Morgan City!

When I was a child I always would draw and color in coloring books.  Later as a teenager I would draw and design long evening gowns with lots of ruffles and lace.  As I got older I started painting on canvases.  I bought art books and wrote down different techniques to use in painting and drawing.

I enjoy painting buildings, courtyards, animals, and actually almost anything.  I love doing shrimp boats.  I work mostly in acrylics but I have also painted in oil and watercolor.

I took different art workshops and lessons from Bob Greenwood and Browning Graham.  They have both passed away.

I also worked at the hospital for 20 years when it was called Lakewood.  I really enjoyed my time working there.
